Triton Digital is looking for a permanent Quality Control Officer to join its quality assurance team. The selected candidate will work alongside the quality assurance team to ensure developed applications meet the firm’s quality requirements and the product team’s stated needs.

The candidate must be able to head up the initiative to automate the firm’s quality assurance tests for back-end systems and user interfaces.

Main Responsibilities

• Make sure issues are documented and tracked in the issue tracking system (Jira);
• Create and maintain test plans and test cases in order to detect anomalies and regressions before products are actually launched;
• Perform load tests and stress tests to ensure that the products will meet the production requirements;
• Automate tests that are manually performed and for which automation would be beneficiary;

Employment Requirements

• Collegial diploma in computer science or in software testing or equivalent experience
• 4 years doing software quality assurance with systems with both backend (db, application serveur, etc.) and frontend (web UI) components.
• Experience doing Black Box and White Box testing for the backend components and the user interfaces
• Experience using scripting languages (i.e. bash) and using a Unix shell
• Experience with RDBMS such as mySql, Oracle and SQL Server to validate their content
• Experience with test automation tools (i.e. : SilkTest, Selenium, Rational Functional Tester, QuickTest Pro, etc.) for both backend and front-end (GUI) components
• Good overall technical knowledge (our development environment is complex and multiple languages such as Java, C++, C# and ASP.NET are used)
• Methodical, thorough, attention to details
• Bilingual (both French and English are required in spoken and written)
• Self-learner, autonomous, rigorous and team worker

• Certification such as CSQA or CMSQ would be a plus
